I've stuck with the brand colors created for me. However I'm uncertain about the background color. Also, how do you get the watermark size to be so large on Ditch Your Templates. I also design in Canva and I've played around with it but haven't been able to make it sizable. This was a great article. Makes me want to change my colors!
If you go into the Header settings in the Substack editor, you can then adjust the watermark size there. I checked, and yours can definitely be scaled up to a nice large size :)
I wasn't overly creative with my color choices but I saw them in my mind and decided to stick with them. Red, white, and a softish black. I like the drama of it, and the black being softer makes it a bit less stark and 'cozier'. I wanted a white background so the thumbnail images stand out and are the focus. https://allthethingsilove.substack.com/
Thank you, Andi. I played around with my Hungarian Ancestors page last night. So fun and easy for a non-techie.
