I love this so much: "When the monthly price is $25–32/month and the annual plan is $40–50/year, the math does the persuasion for you. Nobody needs convincing. They just need to see the numbers clearly." !!!! LOVE it!
Thank you for this ! I haven’t gone paid because of the monthly subscription. I would love to have just the annual fee because when you decide to go for it, you truly want to support the author and you’re truly interested in what he/she is writing about. The monthly fee is cheap, it’s easy to access and delete at the same speed. But it doesn’t support (or protect) your work.
YES! I love this, and it's a great reframe "When the monthly price is $25–32/month and the annual plan is $40–50/year, the math does the persuasion for you."
I really like this notion! I would love paid subscribers but find it’s very challenging so I do not focus on that and removed all paywalls. I found that was hindering my grow altogether.
Wow! I love this. Thank you for sharing. It gave me a whole new perspective on monthly pricing. I always thought of it as a way to always have monthly revenue and make it affordable. Time to make some changes.

Make the monthly the same as the annual. No one will sign up for monthly lol
Can you actually skip the monthly tier? 🤔
I have never seen anyone with just an annual fee. I guess it’s impossible

I’ve never seen it through that lens - food for thought, thanks:-)
Thank you very much for this, that’s very helpful! I’m new to Substack and decided not to do any paid subscriptions, but this gives me new ideas!
Great perspective angle. Thanks for sharing! What do you think about the free subscriber? Boundaries?
so helpful! Thank you. I'm just coming on and do not plan on doing a founding member launch...just straight in.
Thanks for sharing, Andi. This is great.
This was so inspirational. Thank you. Just gave myself permission to rethink my paid/free tiers.

Yes on the monthly & founding. Thank you for the excellent advice & permission slip to do it differently because it’s better for your community.
Hmmm…great food for thought. I’d never thought of it like this.
So very helpful! Thank you for the insights.
YES!! 🙌🏼 thank you, I love this perspective! as a coach who genuinely wants to create a safe, longterm community for women - it makes so much sense. 🤍

Great advice Andi. I have to up the monthly fee even more!
